Real-time market
The Energy White Paper, Powering our Net Zero Future (CP 337), published in December 2020 by HM Government, suggests that in the context of energy, the real-time market: ‘…is a market which has no, or very little, time between the finalisation of all trading activity and the physical delivery of energy to the customer. This is very difficult to achieve so the phrase “closer-to-real-time” is often used to indicate a direction of travel.’
